Liam Healey is a Managing Director in the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment at FTI Consulting, and he is based in Sydney.

Liam has more than 15 years of experience in advisory, restructuring and insolvency matters ranging from informal corporate advisory assignments, to formal insolvency appointments.

He regularly provides banking and corporate clients with a variety of advisory services, including pre-lending and independent business reviews, due diligence assignments, and strategic advice. Liam also has extensive formal restructuring and insolvency experience (Receiverships, Voluntary Administrations and Liquidations) particularly involving the trading and sale of distressed businesses and real property.

Liam has undertaken engagements across a range of industries and has specific experience in mining and mining services, energy, real estate, hospitality and retail.

Significant Engagements

  • Independent business review and subsequent trading receivership of KJM Contractors Pty Ltd, a diversified services provider to the oil and gas sector.
  • Independent business review and subsequent trading receivership of WDS Limited, an ASX listed company, providing diversified services to the mining, energy and infrastructure sectors.
  • Voluntary Administration and Deed of Company Arrangement of Antares Energy Limited, an ASX listed oil & gas company.
  • Receivership of Aston Metals Limited a mining exploration company with gold, zinc, silver and copper deposits in Queensland.
  • Independent business review of a service provider to the mining and infrastructure sectors, for a financier with a secured debt of AU$80 million.
  • Providing a range of services to clients in respect of real property assets, including providing strategic advice and facilitating the sale of over AU$300 million of distressed property.
  • Voluntary administration and liquidation of a Sydney based pub group with four venues and secured debt of AU$40 million.
  • Trading receivership of Compass Hotels Group Limited, an ASX listed hospitality group with a portfolio of 12 hotels and 12 large-scale retail outlets in Perth WA.
  • Financial due diligence of a hospitality group acquisition for approximately AU$90 million.
