Kyle T. Daddio is a Managing Director in the Financial Services practice at FTI Consulting based in Chicago. Mr. Daddio specializes in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF), Know Your Customer (KYC), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), OFAC and Sanctions compliance. His expertise includes designing and implementing AML, KYC, and Sanctions programs for global financial institutions including banks, broker dealers, payment processors and money service businesses.
Mr. Daddio is experienced in assessing Financial Crimes Compliance programs, identifying gaps and regulatory issues, and providing meaningful solutions. With more than 11 years of experience conducting a broad range of Financial Crimes investigations and working with financial institutions to enhance their AML Compliance programs through implementing technology solutions and developing their policies and procedures. He assists financial institutions in efforts to remediate their AML programs due to pending enforcement actions and in response to consent orders. He has been an AML expert and liaison to investigators from federal, state and local agencies, such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, FINRA, National Futures Association, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, U.S. Department of Treasury, and Southern District of New York.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Daddio held senior level AML positions, roles as a compliance consultant, and worked at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for nearly seven years, including deployments overseas as part of Counterterrorism investigations. Most recently, he served as the Chief AML Officer at Interactive Brokers LLC, one of the largest online trading firms, where he was responsible for overseeing AML, KYC, Sanctions, and Trade Surveillance programs. At Interactive Brokers, Mr. Daddio was the first solely dedicated AML Officer, where he developed and enhanced the AML and Financial Crimes program, to include enhancing policies and procedures, implementing technology solutions, building the organizational staffing structure, developing AML specific training, and all aspects of operationalizing an AML and Financial Crimes Compliance program.
Mr. Daddio was also Vice President with Promontory Financial Group, where he led the Global Quality Assurance function for the AML and Regulatory Compliance managed services practice. Prior to his role at Promontory, he was a Senior Consultant with Crowe LLP, where he provided subject matter advise and managed teams of consultants specializing and AML, Regulatory Compliance, and Fraud Investigations for financial institutions.
Prior to his roles in the private sector, Mr. Daddio served nearly 7 years with the FBI. He began his career in the Counter Terrorism Division based in Washington DC, working international investigations and representing the FBI on the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) in NY and National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force (NCIJTF). He also spent time in the Middle East as a member of the Joint Interagency Task Force, part of the US Joint Special Operations Command, as well as in Guantanamo Bay as a member of the FBI’s High Value Detainee Prosecution Task Force. Kyle received the Joint Civilian Service Commendation Medal from the Department of Defense for his service overseas.
