Jon Dyson is a Managing Director in the Construction Solutions practice of FTI Consulting and is based in Melbourne, Australia.

Mr. Dyson is a highly experienced infrastructure, property development and construction professional, having operated for more than 30 years across building and civil engineering within Asia Pacific, the Middle East and the UK.

Throughout Mr. Dyson's career, he has accumulated and applied broad-range expertise in quantum and delay analysis, expert reporting, Public Private Partnerships (PPP) procurement and technical advisory, financier development monitoring, technical due diligence, construction risk management, development management, contract management and commercial/cost management.

Mr. Dyson’s consulting career began in 1985 as a Quantity Surveyor with a renowned UK private quantity surveying practice, where he attained RICS qualification and membership.

Mr. Dyson relocated to Hong Kong in 1994, operating as an Associate Director in the areas of claims and disputes for five years across the Asia region before returning to the UK and specialising in PPP advisory and technical due diligence on behalf of project sponsors and financiers.

In 2004, Mr. Dyson emigrated to Australia, continuing to operate within the PPP and claims/disputes fields. Subsequently, Mr. Dyson spent three years in the Middle East as a Commercial Manager/Development Manager for the real estate arm of a local investment bank. Since returning to Australia in 2010, Mr. Dyson has held Principal/Director-level positions heading core business streams or State offices for large international and local consultancy businesses.

Mr. Dyson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, a post-graduate certificate in the Mechanics of Project Finance and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
