James Rogers is a Managing Director in the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment at FTI Consulting and is based in Brisbane, Australia.

James has been continuously involved in the corporate real estate industry over the last 25 years. During this time, he has fulfilled roles across a broad range of real estate disciplines, and has developed extensive experience and capabilities in portfolio, asset and property management, asset leasing, acquisition and disposal, and property valuation and analysis.

James commenced his career as a Valuer in Brisbane, where he worked primarily in the commercial and industrial sectors. James then moved into real estate investment management where he worked for a number of leading publicly well known Australian companies, overseeing interests in a range of CBD, metropolitan and regional markets across a number of states and territories.

After a period managing commercial and industrial property portfolios in Melbourne and Sydney for a diversified investment manager, James joined a major investment bank/REIT manager, where he was a senior member of their asset and portfolio management team for 11 years. In this role, James worked in both Sydney and Brisbane and was responsible for driving asset and portfolio performance for both listed and unlisted commercial REITs through active management, including formulation, implementation and execution of a range of asset strategies and plans.

James has recently rejoined FTI Consulting, after leading the Queensland Asset Management Services division for a major real estate agency business. He has developed a broad real estate industry expertise, having operated across a wide range of transactional, operational and management fields, covering:

  • Asset leasing, acquisition and disposal;
  • Portfolio, asset and property management;
  • Asset ownership and operation;
  • Consultant review, engagement and management; and
  • Property valuation and analysis.

This ‘hands-on’ approach and practical experience enables James to capably support and advise various stakeholders across a broad range of real estate matters.
