Anthony Saitta is a Managing Director in the Real Estate Solutions industry practice and leader of the Executive Compensation and Corporate Governance Solutions practice. With close to 30 years of public accounting and consulting experience within the real estate industry, clients seek out Mr. Saitta for his expertise in advising client boards and senior executive management on executive compensation and human capital strategies, as well as leading the design and ultimate implementation of adopted recommendations. He is also responsible for the strategic design of new compensation programs for senior executive management teams, including leading the negotiation of employment agreement terms and conditions on behalf of both the executives and boards of directors.

Mr. Saitta’s experience and expertise in the real estate and real estate finance industries and his business background in advising clients with accounting and tax related matters, with initial public offerings and other matters before the Securities and Exchange Commission allows him to bring a unique perspective to both public and private equity and mortgage REITs, private-equity sponsored companies and other owners, operators, and developers in designing and advising on executive compensation and human capital strategies.

Prior to his senior leadership in the executive compensation area, Mr. Saitta spent 14 years at Ernst & Young, LLP where he conducted financial audits of public and private real estate entities, including REITs, owners, developers, and pension funds; performed and supervised due diligence engagements in connection with asset, portfolio and corporate acquisitions; managed the successful IPO and secondary offerings of a retail REIT; and managed due diligence assignments related to the securitization of performing and non-performing commercial loan portfolios.

Mr. Saitta is also regularly quoted and contributes articles and studies on Executive Compensation that have appeared in publications such as Real Estate Finance Journal, SNL Financial, National Real Estate Investor and, among others.

Mr. Saitta holds a B.B.A. in accounting from Bernard M. Baruch College, City of University in New York. He is a CPA and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts.
