Adrian Kong is a Director at FTI Consulting. He is a member of the Construction Solutions practice and is based in Singapore.
Prior to FTI Consulting, Adrian was a project analyst, assisting teams to efficiently execute projects, as well as supporting the teams by recognising key project risks, understanding the level of project definitions, identifying the gaps against industry Best Practices and developing cost and schedule benchmarks using statistical models.
Adrian has solid experiences in working with numerous project teams from various regions in the Asia Pacific, South Asia, Europe and North America, especially with a large variety of project systems and unique organisational requirements.
Adrian is conversant with engineering procedures and statutory requirements. He has assisted companies to identify project system drivers that influence decisions in capital projects, such as cost and schedule targets, and executive strategies. He has also worked with multinational oil companies to drive continuous improvement in project performance.
In addition, Adrian has facilitated external training programmes as a trainer, with the goal of training project professional from various multinational and global companies on Project Best Practices. He also worked for a multinational oil company for over 4 years and held several positions including construction manager, project engineer and planner.
Presently, Adrian is actively involved in providing contract advisory support for FTI Consulting clients in Singapore, particularly in construction delay analysis and time-related claims. He has been involved in the preparation of expert witness reports for a number of arbitrations. He also supported clients involved in alternative dispute resolutions including adjudications, and advised clients who are considering initiating arbitration.
Adrian holds an MBA degree from the University of Leicester, and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Honours) from University of Nottingham. He is also a SIMI Accredited Mediator, and speaks fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia.
