Hideyuki Kikuchi

Hideyuki Kikuchi serves as the head of FTI Consulting’s Public Affairs and Government Relations practice in Tokyo, Japan. With more than 30 years of professional experience in both public and private business sectors, Mr. Kikuchi has provided strategic and feasible advice on complex issues for management and leaders by leveraging his business acumen and deep insight into public policies.

Mr. Kikuchi has supported leaders in both global and domestic companies in a variety of industries, including healthcare and life sciences, as well as retail and consumer products. By identifying multiple key stakeholders, he advises on the most effective and practical engagement strategies based on accurate interpretations of the cultural nuances between business and public sectors, as well as global and local environments.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Kikuchi served as a policy staff to a member of the House of Representatives, including a former Prime Minister of Japan. He also served as a supervisor at the headquarters of the Governor of Tokyo. He started his career with Mitsubishi Corporation, followed by leading public affairs in the pharmaceutical, fast-moving consumer goods (“FMCG”) and life insurance industries.
