Ross Parsonage is a Director in the Global Risk and Investigations practice of FTI Consulting and is based in Beijing.
Ross specialises in investigations and, in particular, in the management of intellectual property (IP), brand management and enforcement issues. He also conducts complex investigative research and consulting assignments involving business intelligence, new market entry and due diligence investigations as well as pre-IPO and other risk consulting services. He conducts projects predominantly in Mainland China.
Before joining FTI Consulting, Ross was the China Operations Director of a boutique law firm with offices in the Asia Pacific region and Russia. Based in Beijing, he was responsible for the management of the company’s operations in China, its business development and management of key client relationships.
From 2004-2011, Ross worked for a leading global IP consultancy firm. As the Beijing Manager and Senior IP Consultant, he was responsible for the IP and brand protection portfolios of numerous leading multinational companies in China the confectionery, pet nutrition, pharmaceutical, technology, healthcare, apparel and manufacturing space.
Previously, Ross was the China Manager for a UK market research company based in Beijing. He worked closely with global advertising, media and brand companies and was responsible for the management of an annual media and marketing survey of the purchasing, viewing and lifestyle habits of 70,000 consumers in China.
Ross is regularly invited to speak at conferences on intellectual property, sports marketing, brand management and protection issues, as well as market research and due diligence in China.
Ross holds an LL.M degree in Technology and Intellectual Property Law from the University of Liverpool, UK and an LL.B degree in Business and Finance Law from Brunel University, UK. He speaks fluent Mandarin and English and is an accredited mediator.
