Oliver Mueller is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in Germany. Oliver is in the Corporate Communications practice in the Strategic Communications segment. Oliver’s focus is on advising German and international clients on complex assignments in reputation management, leadership positioning as well as crisis communications and other special situations.
During his consulting career, Oliver has helped a wide range of multinational companies navigate through critical reputational challenges. He advised executives and Boards on crisis management as well as cross-border M&A transactions and developed and executed international corporate positioning programs. While advising companies in a broad spectrum of industries, he has particular expertise in the aerospace, defence, transportation, energy, IT and engineering sectors.
Having worked across European, Asian and Latin American geographies, Oliver’s international expertise will benefit clients in cross-border mandates.
Before joining FTI Consulting, Oliver was Managing Director at German-French consultancy B2P Communications, where he founded and headed the Berlin office. From 2009 until 2013, he founded and managed the Indian subsidiary of communications consultancy CNC Communications & Network Consulting.
Previously, Oliver had covered companies, markets and politics for Handelsblatt, Germany’s business daily. Based in Hong Kong and New Delhi, he reported on East, South and South-East Asia from 2000 until 2008. As a foreign correspondent, he gained deep insights into globalization as well as the international growth strategies of multinational companies.
