About Katie
Katie Hodson-Thomas has a proven track record in public policy development and political strategy, having served three terms as a member of the Western Australian Parliament between 1996 and 2008. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in government relations and stakeholder engagement.
During her time in the Western Australian Parliament, she served as a Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Health; held shadow portfolio responsibilities for transport, tourism, small business, environment, and road safety; and was Deputy Chair of the Community Development and Justice Standing Committee.
Katie also held senior positions with a number of membership-based industry associations including the AHAWA, Tourism Council WA and Caravan Industry Association.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting she ran her own consultancy practice, specialising in government relations.
Katie is a former Independent Chair of the Western Australian Fishing Industry Council.
