Mr. Nagl is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting Strategic Communications and is based in Munich and Frankfurt, Germany. He contributes more than 17 years of experience in journalism, media relations and communications with a special focus on the banking, asset management and private equity sphere. At FTI Consulting Strategic Communications, Mr. Nagl advises financial institution clients and focuses on capital market transactions as well as cross-sector relations in business media. He recently relocated from Frankfurt to Munich to start building a local hub there for the offering of FTI Consulting Strategic Communications in southern Germany.
Prior to joining the Group in 2011, Mr. Nagl worked for major media enterprises in Germany. During his career as a journalist he won several awards, including the M&A International Media Award 2008 and the German Journalism Award (djp). Mr. Nagl started his career as a correspondent for the international news agency Reuters in Munich where he mainly covered the technology, automobile and aerospace industries. In 2005, he moved to Frankfurt to take up a position as head of the prestigious banking team at Reuters. In this function he also built up in-depth private equity, investment banking and IPO expertise. After two years at Reuters in Frankfurt, he changed to Handelsblatt, Germany’s most important and influential daily business news publication, where he continued covering the financial sector as a Senior Finance Reporter.
For several years, Mr. Nagl has served as a lecturer at the Holtzbrinck School of Journalism, Düsseldorf, as well as at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
Mr. Nagl holds a Diploma in Journalism from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. He is also a graduate of the German School of Journalism in Munich (Deutsche Journalistenschule, DJS).
