Beth Epstein is a Senior Director in the Global Risk and Investigations practice of FTI Consulting and is based in Shanghai.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Beth was the Director of Fraud Prevention & Integrity Risk Management for a leading international risk management firm. She has over 10 years of work experience in the PRC and is highly experienced in leading and conducting complex fraud and corporate investigations, due diligence investigations, and FCPA violation investigations in the Mainland. Her case work has included fraud and corruption investigations, computer forensic examinations, pre-IPO, M&A and compliance due diligence, IP/fraud risk assessments, macro risk assessments and ethics training for multinational companies in multiple industry sectors such as chemicals, automotive, financial services, private equity and manufacturing.
Before coming to the PRC, Beth worked in the software industry in Silicon Valley, United States. She spent her first year in Shanghai heading the strategic marketing department of a Chinese food company. Beth’s work experience also includes positions in Japan, Latin America, and Eastern Europe.
Beth holds a Master of International Management (MIM) degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the W.P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University.
Beth is a Certified Fraud Examiner, has completed an APAC Healthcare Compliance Certification program, and has also received training in non-confrontational interview techniques. As well as her native English, she is proficient in Mandarin and Spanish and also speaks some Japanese.
