About Asjadi
Asjadi Hone is a Managing Director with more than 18 years of experience in corporate restructuring and insolvency. Managing a wide range of large and complex formal restructuring and advisory matters, Asjadi has specialist industry expertise in a number of sectors, including manufacturing, renewable energy, transport, mining and hospitality.
Asjadi has extensive experience in external administration appointments including specific expertise in ensuring the successful continuation of trade for distressed businesses to enable the best possible outcome for stakeholders. This includes conducting sale processes, investigations into corporate failures and litigation for the recovery of debts which involves antecedent and insolvent transactions.
With a strong technical skillset and client-first approach, Asjadi has a proven track record of managing high-pressure, cash-restricted engagements. Her demonstrated ability to formulate tailored strategic solutions enables Asjadi to confidently manage matters to completion while providing successful outcomes for clients and stakeholders.
Asjadi is passionate about workplace culture and regularly contributes across the restructuring and insolvency industry. She has been a member of FTI Consulting Australia’s Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Committee since its inception and the Women’s Insolvency Network (New South Wales Branch) since 2017.
Relevant Experience:
- Sun Cable – Voluntary Administration to enable the company to access additional capital for continued development of its marque project which will supply power to the Northern Territory and Singapore
- Ovato – large-scale Voluntary Administration with more than AU$100 million owed to creditors; the successful realisation of assets via an asset sale enabled the transition of more than 250 employees to the new purchaser
- Rhodium – Receivership of an Australian subsidiary of a Singapore-based commodity trader
- ACS – Voluntary Administrator of Australia’s market leading vehicle logistics business; the business was recapitalised by way of a Deed of Company Arrangement and placed on a sustainable platform for the future
- Settlers Group – Trade on and sale of a national five-asset retirement village portfolio, in a market facing significant structural change and during the initial stages of COVID-19
- WDS Group – Receivership, secured creditor repaid in full and surplus transferred to liquidator for payment of employee entitlements
- Ortega Group – Voluntary Administration of a leading online direct to consumer personalised products company with debt in excess of AU$8 million; a pre-packaged voluntary administration to preserve value via execution of a binding heads of agreement
