FTI Consulting Expands Corporate Finance & Restructuring Segment in the Cayman Islands

We are very pleased to announce the recruitment of Andrew Morrison as a Managing Director in our Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice in the Cayman Islands.

Mr. Morrison will be known to many of you from his previous role with Zolfo Cooper, and we are delighted to welcome such an experienced restructuring specialist to our growing team in the Cayman Islands.

In addition to accepting formal insolvency appointments and directorships in restructuring scenarios, Mr. Morrison will have a particular focus on leading advisory engagements at FTI Consulting.

Mr. Morrison has more than 15 years’ experience of insolvency and restructuring advisory matters, including three years based in the Cayman Islands. His more recent experience includes handling the liquidations of a number of Cayman registered investment funds such as Hadar Fund Limited, the Rye feeder funds to Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC and various other offshore entities.

From 2004 to 2011, Mr. Morrison was based in London where he undertook various director and managerial roles at KPMG and Ernst & Young. During this time, he gained particular expertise in banking, having been seconded for a total of three years to the workout teams of Lloyds Banking Group and the Royal Bank of Scotland to deal with under-performing corporate and leveraged acquisition finance lending.

Mr. Morrison’s previous assignments have included liquidations, receiverships, administrations, independent business reviews, contingency plans, company voluntary arrangements, cash management, refinancing, accelerated M&A, creditor/debtor side advisory and working as bank relationship director. These assignments have been delivered across a broad range of sectors including financial services, property & construction, leisure & hospitality and retail.

He is a participant in INSOL International's Global Insolvency Practice Course class of 2014/15, was a prize winner in the 2006 UK Joint Insolvency Examinations and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
